A design binding is a very special binding. It's an approach distinct from just fine binding in that it is usually more expressive of the subject or theme, yet employs the very highest standards of craftsmanship.

FLOU COMME LA NUIT. The text is from GENEVIEVE LETARTE and the illustrations from LOUIS-PIERRE BOUGIE.
The binding is: full black goatskin leather binding with a raised panel bordered with red morocco leather and a round pewter inlay.
Embroidered endbands. The title is blind tooled on the spine.
