August Rosenberger

French technique black morocco leather. Pewter inlay on the front cover. Onlays of black box calf leather inside the front panel. Pull-up box in pewter.

A book about the great German punch-cutter & engraver, known for his work at Stempel Type Foundry and with Hermann Zapf.

Done collaboratively with John Stevens who did the pen & graver, and calligraphy, which was done in black leather onlay on black leather binding.
Notice the reversed "AR" intials that Monique formed in pewter to reference the punchcutters craft (letters cut in metal in reverse to make type).
